1 review for Dimarzio Titan Bridge
I love tinkering and trying new pickups, but I always find myself coming back to this. I am a Periphery fan, but I wouldn’t say my music is as heavy as theirs, and it’s definitely not tuned as low (drop D and occasionally standard). For reference, I’ve had this in my Ibanez S1520FB for about 4 years now.
This pickup is very balanced in comparison to a lot of pickups marketed at metal players. It’s not super high output, and they tightened the bass and rolled off the highs to put the focus on the middle frequencies where a guitar typically sits in a mix. Palm muted chugs aren’t flubby, leads and cleans aren’t shrill, and it has a really interesting transparent chime in crunch/edge of breakup tones. I have it paired with a Suhr SSV in the neck, and the two make a really beautiful split inner coils sound.
Out of all of the Periphery pickups, this one is my favorite. It sits amazingly in mixes and has a very satisfying response when played. I’m not sure I could ask for much more.
