Dimarzio Fusion Edge Bridge
Medium output pickup that comes stock in many Ibanez guitars.

5 reviews for Dimarzio Fusion Edge Bridge
Pretty dang good for factory pickups. Harmonically rich, not crazy hot but hot enough. Just a touch muddy but manageable. Slight glassy sheen on the top end. My are the 7 string fusion edge pickups that came in my Ibanez Prestige RG, swamp ash body. Nice midrange saturation, you can do pinch harmonics with the neck pickup easily. Good clean tones. They have the typical Dimarzio feel and sound.
I have one of these in 7 string format in a Mazeti 7 string S1 7 Custom. Yes I know not a very well known make or model. They are built in Korea. I can say it has been my mainstay neck pickup for a while and I really love it in combination with a Tone Zone 7. Obviously the pickup came out of an Ibanez but unsure which model it was removed from.
The guitar has a solid ash body and I think that has a lot to do with the quality of the sound. Tried a Blaze before in the neck but didn’t like it with the wood.
The guitar also has a licenced Floyd Rose but I upgraded that with a brass block, noiseless springs and brass spring claw. I might very well put in some titanium blocks but I’m really happy with the overall sound.
Playing through a Soldano SLO clone (50 watt) with Celestian Vintage 30 speakers and Line 6 POD HD500X (modulation and clean sounds only).
They have a very thin sound.
So much treble.
They need More balance in middle and los frequencies.
i bought an Ibanez RG420HPFM-BRG (January 2023)
The description said Tone Zone and Air Norton. I immediately wondered why the Tone Zone was so weak and quiet. After the expansion I knew it. Ibanez is now building the Fusion Edge into the guitar. That was the last Ibanez I bought.
They have lasted all these years on the same guitar an 83′ Ibanez Blaze Guitar. Still sounds great for its purpose. Surprisingly.
